I love seeing them like this; unpainted and pristine! Like the sky is the limit on possible paint applications!
Gorgeous work!!!!

Wow, Tim! I just love your work with the Hughes designs. It doesn't even look like she would break apart for molding! It's just so beautifully made.

Bravo!

Thanks Trev! I had to wait a bit to post these; I can't stand to look at anything I do so soon after shipping out, always playing Monday morning quarterback. Now that I've got a bit of distance on the project I'm warming back up to her. I was showing your work to my fiance' last night and she was so amazed at your skills! Keep at it brother, you're already surpassing so many of us, you could OWN this industry in another few years! Can't wait to see what Sideshow has you on next!
:iconsculptortim:
Thanks so much! I don't sweat credit, so long as the check clears. Seriously though, I've worked for so many years under the radar with a few companies that its a moot point now. I'm just glad people get to enjoy the result of the work!
:iconsculptortim:
Ya know you really have Adam to thank for this! His designs are a joy to sculpt, and I'm grateful that he and Sideshow have given me the opportunity! I'm busting at the seams to see how the next one comes out in paint! :wow:

Much time and thought is put into the reveal. Sideshow contracts the work from artists such as myself, or Trevor Grove or the Gore Group, so it's not really the artists' vision, and its not really ours to reveal the product. Not only is it improper for the artist to reveal the work early, it's otherwise unheard of in just about any other industry. The team that designs and assembles an automobile cannot reveal any information about the product, that would amount to industrial espionage. For some reason, people assume that because we work in an industry that's viewed as artistic we should be able to show the work in progress, as an artistic endeavor. I think that may be due to ego, much the same as needing credit on a piece. Recognition is nice, but let's face it, I'm not sculpting the Tim Miller line, so credit is superfluous to the paycheck. When the AH! Rogue Comiquette was revealed, Sideshow assembled a video clip of all of the WIP shots I had taken and sent to them and posted on their site. I think that's more than sufficient. As far as I'm concerned, the finished product is all that matters, and Sideshow, or any client, will reveal that product when their ready, at their discretion.

Believe me, there are some projects that I'm busting at the seams waiting for the reveal, but I could probably benefit from learning a bit more patience.
